OH HOW SWEET THE SOUND!!

Last night I was so thankful to be in the new Prudential building in Newark, NJ! God was definitely in the place. If you have never heard about the How Sweet the Sound Gospel Competition, you need to definitely make it to one of the remaining upcoming shows or tune in for next year!

Our hosts were, Donald Lawrence who is a mighty powerhouse musician in the gospel world and Lisa Kimmey- Winnans. The judges were Marvin Sapp, Kelly Price and Hezekiah Walker. And when they performed oh we had some church up in there! I felt sorry for all the workers in that building who weren't planning on being saved or was never into Gospel because we PRAISED the roof off that place!

Those choirs that performed last night were truly blessed there was not a note that was off, or out of pitch. The energy was high and the arrangements of some of the most dynamic Christian songs were sang in a whole new way.

The choir that took the cake for the NY/NJ region were truly the ones who deserved it. They "looked like heaven" as said so well by Pastor Marvin Sapp. They were a choir straight from NY, NY and they had a choir full of black faces and white singing with utter passion and praise unto the Lord, and the choir director himself, was on a whole other level of praise.

They sang Total Praise by Richard Smallwood, which happens to be one of my favorites and they were so full of the annointing it was undeniable! Can't wait to see how they make out in the finals.

BROTHA

I still feel full of the energy from the election. I can't wipe the smile off of my face. I'm so proud of my people, my brothers in particular and I wanted to send a song in salute to you.

Enjoy
